Even dimensional higher class groups of orders
Let F be a number field, and let OF denote the ring of integers in F . Let A be a finite-dimensional central simple F-algebra, and let be an OF -order in A. In this paper it is shown that the p-torsion of the even dimensional higher class group Cl2n( ) can only occur for primes p, which lie under prime ideals p, at which p is not maximal, or which divide the dimension of A.
متن کاملRandom graph orders
Let Pn be the order determined by taking a random graph G on {l,2,...,n}, directing the edges from the lesser vertex to the greater (as integers), and then taking the transitive closure of this relation. We call such an ordered set a random graph order. We show that there exist constants c, and a, such that the expected height and set up number of Pn are sharply concentrated around en and cm re...
متن کاملDerived neighborhoods and frontier orders
We study some structural and topological properties of the frontiers of objects in a certain class of discrete spaces, in the framework of simplicial complexes and partial orders. In a previous work, we introduced the notion of frontier order, which allows to define the frontier of any object in an n-dimensional space. The main goal of this paper is to exhibit the links which exist between fron...
متن کاملDimensional Reduction applied to QCD at higher orders
Dimensional Regularization (DREG) [2] has proven extremely successful for the evaluation of higher order corrections in quantum field theory, mostly because it preserves gauge invariance and thus does not interfere with the renormalizability of the Standard Model or QCD. Many techniques for evaluating Feynman diagrams have been developed within the framework of DREG, so perturbation theory heav...
متن کاملSudakov Resummations at Higher Orders ∗
We summarize our recent results on the resummation of hard-scattering coefficient functions and on-shell form factors in massless perturbative QCD. The threshold resummation has been extended to the fourth logarithmic order for deep-inelastic scattering, Drell-Yan lepton pair production and Higgs production via gluon-gluon fusion. The leading six infrared pole terms have been derived to all ord...
